Hubertine Heijermans는

현재 활동 중인 수채 화가입니다.

​

1936년 암스테르담에서 태어나

15살이 되었을 때 처음으로 그림에 대한

교육을 받았습니다.

​

​

​

2차 세계 대전 때 '닐스'라는

장교를 만나 평생 사랑을 약속 하며

결혼을 하였어요.

​

1960년 아들을 낳고

스위스 로잔에 정책했다가

1968년부터 1972년까지 미국 일리노이 주에

있는 예술 학교 (현재 도미니카 대학)에서

판화를 공부하게 됩니다.

​

1972년 젊은 여성 아티스트로 수상을 한 후

무거운 판화 기구를 들고 스위스로 돌아왔습니다.

​

스위스로 돌아오고 얼마 후 1973년,

평생의 사랑을 약속했던 닐스와는

이별하게 됩니다.

​

나이가 점차 들며 기술을 요하는

작업이 버거워졌습니다.

​

반면 그림을 그리는 일은 고령의 나이로도

가능하기에 그녀는 여전히

집에서 그림을 그립니다.

​

더욱 깊이감 있는 작품들로

최근 들어 그녀의 작품을 찾는

사람들이 많아졌어요!

​

80세가 넘는 나이로 그녀는

그림을 그리며

그녀만의 시간을 보내고 있어요.😊
